Today was not as cold. I wore a long sleeve shirt, a sweater over it, a down vest over that and a big coat!
We are living right next to Hampstead Heath and had not explored the entire area so today was our chance... The park covers 791 acres... It is HUGE! We left our house for the 2 min walk over at around 9:30 and did not leave the park until around 2pm. The girls and Jack climbed trees, feed the birds, collected rocks and leaves and got EXTREMELY dirty! They had so much fun! Hampstead Heath is about 4 miles from the center of London. It has several ponds and trails.. It also has a view of the entire city from Parliament Hill..... Midway through we stopped at the Kenwood House for tea while Jack and the girls climbed a big tree! It was really nice! Finally we had a late lunch at the White Horse Pub where they serve Thai Cuisine (Hannah had pasta though - Jack slept! ).
Kenwood House is a neo-classical mansion on a hillside facing over a beautiful park.
There has been a house here since 1616, but the house today was the work of Robert Adam and William Murray, 1st Earl of Mansfield.
The 1st Earl purchased the house in 1754 when he was Attorney General, and two years later he became Lord Chief Justice of the King's Bench.
Ok a photo of all three looking the same way...if I do not get lucky again this will have to be our Christmas photo

I don't know Marla, the picture with all of you, kids and Tim and you, would make an excellent Christmas card. You all are looking straight at the camera and it looks fantastic of each one of you. That park looks beautiful. Matt would have loved the tree they were climbing.
Love, Auntie Tracey

Wow what a great place to be able to explore with the kids. They must be loving life and so curious why there are no palm trees. Glad to see you and Tim in the photos too.
